THE GAS GAS 300 EC IS THE BEST EUROPEAN ENDURO BIKE, ACCORDING TO SPECIALISTS Riders and journalists choose the GAS GAS motorbike at the 'Master Enduro' Salt (Gerona), 28 October 2002.- The GAS GAS 300 EC is the best European motorcycle in the enduro field at the moment. This is the conclusion that can be drawn from the 'Master Enduro', a contest created by the specialist magazine Motococlismo in which renowned riders tested the products of the main manufacturers of the sector for several continental or even worldwide off-road publications. This initiative took place in the Parc Motor facilities in Igualada from Monday 21 to Thursday 24 of October. The first two days were dedicated to the motocross section, whereas in the tests held on Wednesday and Thursday the riders rode the cross-country test. Basing on the times (60%) and the sensations and opinions of each of the riders (40%) the organisation established an overall classification for each of the three categories corresponding to the motorbikes' cylinder sizes: 125cc and 250cc-4 Strokes, 250cc-2 Strokes and 400cc-4 Strokes, and superior to (larger than) 250cc-2 Strokes and 400cc-4 Strokes. The GAS GAS 125 EC was third in the smallest class, while the 400 FSE-4 Strokes and the 250 EC were third and fifth respectively in the second class. The great winner was the GAS GAS 300 EC, which was the most valued among the third group entrants, and won in the overall classification before the two Yamahas that won the first and second groups.
